YO! Webinar Training Series Get online and get connected through a series of YO! webinar trainings.

How to Access the YO! Webinar Link:

There will be a unique link to the YO! Webinar System for each of the webinars.

Each person who has registered for the webinar will receive a confirmation email which will include the webinar access instructions for first time users. Two to five days prior to the webinar date the registrant will receive a second email which will provide the webinar session link for accessing the audio and visual portions of the webinar.

Registrants will need a computer and Internet access (28.8 kbps speed or above. Broadband connection highly recommended) to access the webinar. If teleconference is available they can choose to access the audio via VoIP or via teleconference call line with a participant access code.

First Time Blackboard Collaborate Users:

Tip: It is advisable to enter the webinar room at least 30 minutes early so you can configure your Blackboard Collaborate interface to suit your particular needs.

To save time before the date of the webinar, we recommend that you Check Your System Requirements as well as Configure Your System three or four days in advance to make sure it is ready to use the YO! Webinar System.

Java Access Bridge for Assistive Technologies

The Java Access Bridge is a technology that allows assistive technologies (such as screen readers, magnifiers, etc.) to access Java applications and applets. In order to use Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing with the JAWS screen reader, Java Access Bridge version 2.0.3 is required. This version comes bundled with Java 7 (update 6), so there is no need to install it separately from Java. After you install Java 7 (update 6) and later, the Access Bridge must be enabled. On Windows Vista and later, you can enable the Access Bridge using the "Ease of Access Center" in the Control Panel. You can also enable the Access Bridge from the command line in all versions of Windows. To enable the Java Access Bridge, follow the instructions provided Behind the Blackboard in How do I enable the Java Access Bridge 2.0.3 in Java 7?

Step 2 Configure Your System

Go to YO! Configuration Room to test your connection, settings, as well configure your audio to ensure your microphone and speakers are set to suitable levels (a USB headset with microphone/headphones is highly recommended).
