Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) February 5th, 2019

The deadline for students to apply for 2019 Youth Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities (YLF) has been extended! The new deadline is March 3rd, 2019.

The YLF program will be held July 15-19, 2019, at California State University, Sacramento.

The YLF is a five-day residential self-advocacy and leadership development summer youth program held on a college campus. It is a great opportunity for students who have been identified as potential leaders to participate in leadership development. Please share this information with your network.

Students must complete an application, write an essay, and provide letters of recommendation. Students will also be interviewed by a team in their local communities. This is a competitive process and not all students will be selected. We are targeting students who are sophomores and juniors during the 2018-19 school year. However, some seniors will be accepted as well. YLF applications must be completed electronically and emailed to [email protected]. Again, the deadline to apply has been extended to March 3rd, 2019.

The 2019 application and related documents, including an outreach flyer, can be found at http://www.dor.ca.gov/YLF/YLF-Delegate-Info.html. All information can be shared through your distribution channels. Please print the flyer and post in your offices and share with your networks.

Thank you for your continued support!
