Santa Barbara: Youth Transition Workshop June 14th, 2018


The Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC) will be hosting its first quarterly group workshop on: June 30th 2018
It will take place at 423 W Victoria St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 from 10:30am-3:30pm
It is centrally located and close to public transit lines.
 
RSVPs are due by this Friday, June 15th.

For those living outside of the Santa Barbara area, we can help with possible carpool connections, but beyond that transportation is not provided.
 
Activities, games, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
 
The workshop will cover topics such as:

  • Independence/Independent Living Skills

  • Employment

  • Advocacy

  • Mentorship

  • Community

  • Systems Change

  • Housing 

  • Post-Secondary Education 


 ILRC’s advocates will provide education on disability history and culture.
 
There will be various agencies sharing information regarding services they offer.
 
A mini tabling session will take place during lunch for attendees to learn more about various resources they might be interested in.
