DANY (Disability Action Network for Youth) Conference “A Youth Transition Conference”

March 27 and 28, 2018
Shattuck Hotel, Berkeley, CA

The DANY Conference is designed for Youth with Disabilities (18 – 26) and Organizational Staff. The focus of the conference is to learn “how to develop your own DANY Group. Each organization will have up to 3 staff and 4 youth in attendance. Thanks to the Thomas J. Long Foundation, Conference fees and hotel expenses are covered. Organizations will need to pay for their staff time and their own transportation to and from the conference.
 
Attendees will learn the following:
 
How teams can develop their own “DANY” Group within their local area. CRIL Team Members and key supporters will provide valuable tools to support this needed development. 
Attendees will learn about community organizing and coordinating groups.
Attendees will learn leadership skills that will promote self advocacy and group advocacy.
