About the NCIL Youth Caucus

The National Council on Independent Living is committed to embracing and enhancing the value of diverse populations of people with disabilities. The NCIL Youth Caucus, a part of the NCIL Diversity Committee, is open to all NCIL youth members, ages 26 and under, who want to connect and advocate for change with other youth with disabilities.

The Youth Caucus is committed to cultivating a safe and empowering space for youth with disabilities to engage in the Independent Living (IL) and disability rights movement by enhancing youth participation and leadership at NCIL.

The newly re-launched NCIL Youth Caucus could be a great fit for you. It is a place where each member has the opportunity to voice their ideas about national policies that affect people with disabilities and facilitate change. We have monthly calls on various days of each month. Please contact Jessica Jimenez for more information at jessica@scil-ilc.org.
